Creative & Professional Highlights
The pursuit of seeing beauty in our world, directed her body of work to several specific themes; tropical, floral and our beloved domesticated animals. The three themes continue to be a large focus, but additional ideas were inspired to reflect recent travels, Visiting Italy, Malta and Greece provided so many exciting visual delights to paint.
Most recently, while our world has been isolating and limiting social interactions, due to the coronavirus - her home studio is very busy with the newest body of work. Beautiful, powerful, local horses from the Manhan Farm, New Smyrna Beach, Florida. Visiting the stables, doing several photo shoots, has provided lots and lots of inspiration.
Creative & Professional Highlights
- Early exposure to the arts was provided by a loving family that supported all forms of the arts and fostered open thinking.
- Her passion and training for the visual arts began in college.
- Bachelors and Master Degrees in Art Education from Central Connecticut State University and University of Connecticut.
- Thirty plus years of teaching experience as an art educator, secondary level-Southington, Connecticut and post secondary- the latest at Daytona State College.
- Currently teaching adults painting classes at The Hub on Canal and Artists Workshop in New Smyrna Beach, FL.
